Camp started July 28 at Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA.  All the campers must go through a check in process.  They go through a basic physical or medical exam as part of registration.  After they turn in their medications and label their luggage, they are ready to board the bus.

There were many activities for the campers to participate in.  Some of them were horseback riding, swimming, arts and crafts, sports, and canoeing.  The campers had a blast, as you can see by the pictures...

Horseback Riding

Swimming

Arts & Crafts

Canoeing

While the campers went horse back riding, they had a opportunity to visit the petting zoo.  The campers fed the animals and had a blast.

The campers go to the infirmary to receive their medications.

At camp we have various organizations that support us.  They come and visit to see the kids and have fun too.  Also, Doctors show up to check on their former patients.  The picture on the right is Treble and Snoop Dog, the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director.

Here are some other pictures of camp...

We had a camp fire that last night of camp.  We sang songs and the campers made smores by placing roasting marshmallows between gram crackers and chocolate.

Camp was finally over Saturday morning, August 4.  Everyone did not want to leave camp.  The staff loaded the children back on the bus so they can go home and see their parents and friends.

The dates for the 2002 Camp session have not been announced yet...
